The 1901 song “Pennsylvania Ferdinand” byaves it’s famous refrain “Oh, ho, ho, my love is rich”. This was the very first game of bingo that was played using the present combination method where the numbers are arranged in a random pattern on the card.

In the late 1800’s, Keno, a game similar to bingo was played in Germany by way of a bingo kit. The game was only ever played once a day, every day in the fall, and was taken up by church to raise money for educating the children.

The game made it’s way to the USA in the 1910’s where it wasn’t treated as a game but rather a lottery. Since people were paying for their tickets, people entered houses and lounges to find out if they had a chance to win a prize.

People were quite enthusiastic about the game and many homes had organized bingo parties to joining the gaming Fever.

Throughout the 20th century, the Panen138 only got better with the addition of more versatile bingo cards and the popular Anson horizontally and crossword games. In 1961, the first internally wired bingo game was developed. Electronic play was achieved through the addition of microchips that made it easier to track and mark the numbers.

Nowadays, online bingo is played in most countries and the game is a billion dollar industry. Some people believe that the internet has stopped people from having a love for bingo, but the contrary is true. They had found a new, more convenient way to play their favourite game.
